Job Purpose
To lead the development and execution of comprehensive action plans within selected sectors, ensuring alignment with GRASP 2030’s vision and goals. This role involves conducting thorough market research, collaborating with cross-functional teams, identifying and analysing priority sectors,and establishing strategic partnerships. The work will directly contribute to creating impactful and sustainable changes in how food loss and waste are managed within various sectors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives on selected sectors aligned with the project’s vision, mission, and goals in tackling food loss and waste
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify and select sectors regarding the emerging trends, needs, and potential impacts of the project.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input and insights and ensure strategic alignment in developing the action plan
- Monitor and evaluate industry, business trends, and customer behaviour to identify potential impact and assess the effectiveness and efficiency, in developing an action
- Develop action planning, including setting objectives, and defining key performance indicators based on assessment.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and alliances to drive collaboration in tackling food loss and waste.
- Prepare and present strategic recommendations, business cases, and progress reports to key stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by encouraging new ideas and approaches.
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience in strategic planning, preferably in a managerial role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent leadership and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and business acumen to understand food and food supply chain dynamics
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong project management skills to drive the implementation of strategic initiatives.
- High level of self-motivation, initiative, and ability to work autonomously.
