Job Purpose

To support the Communications Manager to direct the flow of information for GRASP 2030 projects, ensuring effective communication with signatories, government entities, universities, and media. This role involves managing events, overseeing social media communications, maintaining relationships with stakeholders, and upholding the project’s branding. This role is essential for promoting the initiative and keeping all parties informed and engaged.

   Responsibilities

  • Support the overall flow of information for a project, ensuring effective communication with signatories, government, university, and media.
  • Manage events of varying type and size.
  • Maintain communication and manage relationships with signatories and the key stakeholders (i.e provide update, reports, etc)
  • Oversee and manage social media communications to ensure consistent and engaging messaging including design and layout
  • Respond to inquiries from signatories and other relevant stakeholders and from media outlets accurately
  • Maintain a calendar of assigned projects and deadlines.
  • Deliver written and verbal communications by designated deadlines.
  • Manage and uphold the project’s and GRASP2030 branding.

    Requirements and skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with software applications like Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong press release and copywriting skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize projects and multi-tasking.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively
  • Strong public speaking skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • BSc in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or other relevant field
