LeadsTalk #19 – The Role of Supply Chain Management in Driving Decarbonization Strategies

Sustainability is no longer just a commitment, it is a core business strategy instead. In this special episode of Leaders Talk Sustainable, a collaboration between IBCSD and Olahkarsa, Liza Mahafianti Samsuri, AVP of Sustainability Strategy & Program, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, shares how Telkom Indonesia is developing its Climate Transition Plan to respond to real climate risks and growing global market expectations.

From operational disruptions caused by climate events to increasing pressure from international investors on ESG transparency, Telkom recognizes that climate risk is no longer abstract. It is already impacting business performance.

Through a phased approach toward net zero 2060, Telkom targets a 20% emissions reduction by 2030, followed by a stronger focus on Scope 3 emissions, and ultimately a full transition to net zero by 2040–2060.

This conversation also explores how companies manage complex value chains, build credible emissions data systems, and shift internal mindsets, from viewing sustainability as a cost to recognizing it as a long-term investment.

Watch this episode to understand how leading companies are turning pressure into strategy and what it means for the future of business in Indonesia.
