Job Purpose

To serve as a key driver in expanding the reach and impact of GRASP 2030 by engaging and collaborating with businesses along the food supply chain. This role is pivotal in developing strategic initiatives, fostering relationships, and ensuring that businesses are not only aware of but actively participating in efforts to reduce food loss and waste through development of program, event, innovation, or any other efforts . The officer will leverage their expertise to create meaningful partnerships, align business practices with sustainability goals, and contribute to the overall mission of creating a more sustainable food system in Indonesia.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Develop an action plan on tackling food loss and waste of the signatories
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with the signatories
  • Promote the GRASP 2030 role in addressing or predicting signatories’ objectives
  • Keep records of the progress of the signatories
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and support to the signatories
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the signatories and other key stakeholders
  • Support the signatories in achieving their goals and addressing challenges
  • Stay up to date with food supply chain and industry trends to refine the strategy

 Requirements and skills

  • Strong understanding of the food supply chain
  • Proven working experience as a business development manager on food supply chain, or a relevant role
  • Proven business track record
  • In-depth market knowledge
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain relationships
  • Effective time management and planning skills
  • BSc/BA in business administration, sales, food sector, or relevant field
