The People program provides solutions that support companies in ensuring that they remain in tune with the needs, rights, goals, and aspirations of society against the backdrop of this rapidly evolving landscape.

The Green Lifestyle program is a multi-stakeholder platform to support the national agenda of SDG 12, Responsible Consumption and Production.

Through the first phase of the program (2017-2019), Green Lifestyle had delivered strategies, action plans and commitments from multi-sectoral companies to support responsible consumption and production as a part of their journey towards more sustainable business.

 

Business and Human Right

Corporate responsibility to respect human rights is considered critical to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A concrete way that business can contribute to sustainable development is through human right due-diligence (HRDD).

Greener Business Better Workplace

Businesses plays a major contributor to deliver on SDG goal 8, “promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all”. This global goal highlights the importance of decent work in achieving sustainable development.

Children’s Right & Business Principles

Children are integral part of business stakeholders as companies interact with children on a daily basis, as consumers, community members, children of employees and customers, even in some cases as workers. However, not all business consider adequately children’s issues.

Conflict Resolution Unit (CRU)

The Conflict Resolution Unit (CRU) is established to provide services to support the mediation of land use and natural resource management conflict. The Conflict Resolution Unit (CRU) works to increase public confidence that mediation is an effective alternative for resolving land use and natural resource management conflicts in Indonesia. Although CRU does not mediate conflicts themselves, CRU provides a range of support services for mediation processes to ensure the application of best practices.

Forestry Forum

The Indonesia Business Council for Sustainable Development (IBCSD) in collaboration with the Sustainability Policy Transparency Toolkit (SPOTT) has facilitated a Business Forum on Forestry Transparency in Indonesia since 2019. This collaboration focuses on providing practical guidance to Indonesian forest management organisations on how to improve and communicate environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments and progress to investors and buyers.
